1. About this App
AppSupermarket-Badge&Timer is a Shopify app that:
- Adds product status badges (for example: New, Hot, Pre-order, Low stock, Sold out) to product cards and product pages.
- Adds product-level and global countdown timers to product pages.
- Uses Shopify Theme App Extensions and App Blocks to render badges and timers in Online Store 2.0 themes.
- Stores configuration data in app-owned metafields in your Shopify store.

2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
- Information obtained through Shopify’s APIs
- Information you provide directly to us as a merchant
- Limited technical information related to the operation of the App
We do not collect data directly from buyers (your customers) outside of what is provided to us via Shopify APIs, and we do not place additional cookies or tracking pixels on buyers’ browsers beyond what Shopify already uses.
2.1 Information collected through Shopify’s APIs
When you install and use the App, we access certain data from your Shopify store via Shopify’s APIs in order to provide the App’s core functionality.
Depending on how you use the App, we may access:

- Store ID and other identifiers provided by Shopify
- Store currency and locale (where exposed by Shopify)

- Product titles, handles, descriptions, images, and URLs
- Product variants and options
- Product tags (for example:
badge_timer:hot, badge_timer:preorder)
- Product inventory information (for example: inventory quantity, whether inventory is tracked, availability)

Collection / catalog information
- Collections and which products are in those collections (if needed to preview or apply badges/timers in certain contexts)

Theme and customization information
- Theme ID, published theme, and template information used to render App Blocks and Theme App Extensions
- Information about the App Blocks placement in your theme, to display badges and countdown timers

App-related configuration and metafields
- App-owned metafields used to store:
- Global badge rules (for example: new-product days, low-stock threshold)
- Global countdown settings (for example: end date, label text, behavior after end)
- Per-product overrides (for example: forced badges, disabled badges, per-product countdowns)
We only access and store the data that is necessary for the App to function properly and to provide support to you.
2.2 Information you provide directly
When you use the App’s admin interface, you may provide:

- Your name (if used in support communications)

3. How we use the information

- Retrieve product and inventory data to decide when to display “New”, “Hot”, “Pre-order”, “Low stock”, or “Sold out” badges
- Apply your global and per-product countdown settings on product pages
- Render App Blocks (Product badges, Product countdown, Badge & timer styles) in your theme
- Store and apply your saved configuration in metafields

- Analyze aggregated usage (for example, which features are most commonly used) to improve the product

Configuration data (metafields, settings, overrides):
- Stored in your Shopify store as app-owned metafields for as long as the App is installed or until you delete or modify them.
- After the App is uninstalled, metafields may remain in your Shopify store until you choose to delete them. Once removed, the App no longer has access to them.

Log and technical data:
- Retained for a limited period (for example, up to 12 months) for monitoring, debugging, and security purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

Support communications:
- Retained for a reasonable period to help us respond to ongoing or future inquiries, unless you request deletion where applicable.

6. Data location and international transfers
Our App may process and store data in China, and data may be transferred across borders as necessary to provide the App.

Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable measures to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
7. Security

If you are a buyer (customer of a Shopify store using this App), please note that we primarily process your data on behalf of the merchant. You should contact the merchant (the store owner) directly to exercise your rights. We will support the merchant as needed in responding to such requests, in accordance with our agreement with the merchant and applicable law.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for use by businesses (Shopify merchants) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
If the changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or within the App). Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the changes and your consent to abide and be bound by the updated policy.
